What should I expect during my first visit to OLA Aesthetics?

At your initial consultation, our practitioners will assess your health and your aesthetic goals and discuss appropriate treatment options based on your individual needs. After an initial consultation, the practicioner will take a series of photographs of your skin for appropriate skin analysis. Once your skin has been assessed, our highly qualified practitioners will design a treatment plan designed specifically for you. All procedures will be clearly explained, including potential risks and typical outcomes, allowing you to make an informed decision.

What if I don’t know which treatment is right for me?

Your practitioner will conduct a thorough assessment and provide recommendations based on your health, skin type and goals. All available options, including any associated risks, will be discussed so you can make an informed decision about your treatment. We recommend booking a consultation with Dr Aleks, Dr Indi or our Dermal Therapist, Dee.

Do I need to prepare for my treatment?

Yes, depending on the procedure, there may be pre-treatment instructions, such as avoiding certain medications or skincare products. Our team will provide all necessary information during your consultation.

What happens after the treatment?

Post-treatment care varies with each procedure. You will be given specific instructions to follow to aid in recovery and optimise your results. This may include special skincare routines or activity restrictions for a period of time.

How long will it take to see results?

The time it takes to see results depends on the type of treatment. Some may offer noticeable changes quickly, while others may take time for the full effects to become visible. This will be discussed with you before the procedure to ensure you have realistic expectations.

Is there any downtime after cosmetic procedures?

Downtime will vary depending on the procedure chosen. Some treatments have minimal recovery, while others may require rest or reduced activity for a few days. Your practitioner will outline what to expect during recovery based on your treatment plan.

Will I experience any discomfort during or after the procedure?

We aim to minimise discomfort during all procedures. Anaesthetic options or cooling techniques may be used, depending on the treatment. Post-treatment symptoms such as mild swelling or redness may occur but typically resolve within a short period.

Can I combine multiple treatments during a single visit?

Depending on your goals and the procedures you are considering, it may be possible to combine certain treatments. However, this decision will be made based on what is clinically appropriate for your situation and your safety during your personalised consultation.

What qualifications do your practitioners have?

Dr Aleksandra Kaddour, our co-founder, holds an MBBS and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and the Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine (FACAM). She's also a member of the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia (CPCA) and holds Australian skin cancer qualifications. Dr Aleks’ unique combination of expertise in both aesthetics and skin health forms the foundation of our 'OLA Offering'.

Dr Indi Wijegoonewardene, also a co-founder, holds an MBBS and FRACGP. His background includes experience in facial reconstruction surgery and general surgery, bringing a wealth of knowledge in facial aesthetics to our practice. Our team also includes highly skilled professionals like Dee, our Dermal Therapist, who holds a CIBTAC + CIDESCO Beauty Therapy diploma and has extensive experience in advanced skin treatments.

Do you stay informed about the latest developments in cosmetic treatments and technologies?

At OLA Aesthetics, our practitioners regularly participate in continuing education activities to stay informed about developments in cosmetic treatments. Dr Aleks serves on the board of the Australian College of Aesthetic Medicine, which provides opportunities for engagement with developments in the field. Both Dr Aleks and Dr Indi attend professional conferences and training sessions to stay informed about emerging technologies and techniques in cosmetic medicine.

Is there parking available?

Yes, we have convenient parking options for clients visiting our clinic. There is complimentary on-site parking available at our building complex's rear. You may also park along Newcastle Street or on the surrounding streets.

What are your operating hours?

Mondays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Tuesdays through Fridays from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
Saturdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

How often will I need to return for follow-up treatments?

The need for follow-up treatments will depend on the procedure and your individual response. Your practitioner will give you guidance on maintenance or additional treatments during your consultation.

What safety measures are in place at OLA Aesthetics?

We prioritise patient safety and adhere to all required health and safety protocols. Our clinic uses high-quality equipment and all procedures are performed by qualified practitioners in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash as well as all major credit and debit cards, including American Express. However, please note that American Express cards incur a 1.5% surcharge.

When is payment due?

Full payment is expected at the time of treatment unless you have arranged a payment plan. For certain treatments, a non-refundable deposit may be required prior to your appointment. New clients will be expected to provide a credit card during booking to hold their spot.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 48 hours' notice if you cannot attend your appointment. We send an SMS reminder two days before your scheduled appointment as a courtesy, but this does not remove your responsibility for keeping appointments.

For new clients, we require credit card details to secure your initial appointment. A $100 cancellation fee applies for appointments cancelled within 48 hours. Can I be treated if I am under 18?

Some treatments are not appropriate for patients under age 18. However, we do offer our OLA Aesthetics Skin and Laser & Light treatments for a variety of ages.

Can I purchase skincare products at OLA Aesthetics?

At OLA Aesthetics, we carry RATIONALE as our retail skincare range, which has been personally tested and approved by Dr Aleks to provide the best outcomes and experience for our patients.
