For many people, stubborn areas of fat linger despite consistent diet and exercise. These pockets are often influenced by factors beyond our control, such as genetics or hormonal changes. That’s where OLA Aesthetics comes in. Our goal is not to chase unrealistic ideals, but to support your body on your terms with advanced nonsurgical fat reduction options.
A Note From Dr Aleks
One of the most important things I discuss with patients is that fat behaves differently in different parts of the body. Some areas respond quickly to movement or dietary changes, while others can remain unchanged, even when someone is incredibly active and healthy.
My job is to understand how and where your body stores fat and determine whether a fat reduction treatment could support your goals. Our treatments are designed to complement, not replace, a healthy lifestyle. We enhance your efforts and help refine the results you’re already working hard to achieve.

Understanding Fat Reduction
Even people who are very active and health-conscious can have areas of fat that are resistant to change. This is because stubborn fat isn’t always about weight or healthy habits. Often, it’s about how your body is genetically predisposed to store fat.
At OLA Aesthetics, we focus on noninvasive methods of fat reduction that require little to no downtime. These technologies work by selectively targeting fat cells beneath the skin’s surface. Over time, the body processes and eliminates these cells to produce gradual changes in your figure.
Frequently Asked Questions About Fat Reduction
No. Fat reduction targets specific areas of fat to improve body contour, while weight loss refers to an overall decrease in body weight. You may not see a significant change on the scale with these treatments, but you may notice a difference in shape, fit and proportion.
This depends on your goals, the treatment method used and the area being targeted. Many clients begin to see changes after one session, though a series may be recommended to see more significant results. We’ll personalise your plan during your consultation.
Most nonsurgical fat reduction treatments have little to no downtime. You can usually return to your normal activities straight after your session or within first few days after depending on treatment selected, although some mild swelling or tenderness may occur temporarily.
Once fat cells are eliminated, they don’t return. However, remaining fat cells can still expand with weight gain. Maintaining a balanced diet and active lifestyle is necessary to preserve your results over time.
Common areas include the abdomen, flanks (love handles), thighs, upper arms, under the chin and back. Some clients choose to treat more than one area at a time, depending on their goals.
