AccuTite

Precision Nonsurgical Skin Tightening in Perth

Many of us begin to notice loss of skin elasticity and firmness in our 30s and 40s. While traditional approaches like a surgical facelift can address these changes, not everyone is ready for or interested in an invasive procedure and the accompanying risk, scarring and downtime.

AccuTite is a minimally invasive, nonsurgical skin tightening procedure. This innovative technology uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to heat the deep layers of the skin, promoting collagen production and tightening loose skin without the need for surgery. It can also reduce small pockets of fat.

A Note from Dr. Aleks

When it comes to addressing skin laxity, stubborn fat and contouring concerns, InMode's "-Tite" family of devices have changed the game. BodyTite and FaceTite have proven themselves to be excellent tools for treating larger areas of the body and face, respectively, and we offer both here at OLA Aesthetics.

AccuTite fills a gap in our treatment offerings. Its small size and precision targeting allow us to address areas that were previously difficult to treat with other devices or without surgery, such as the brows, eyelids and hands. By leveraging the strengths of each "-Tite" device, we can create comprehensive, customised nonsurgical treatment plans for each individual patient.

What Is AccuTite?

AccuTite is a minimally invasive, radiofrequency-based treatment designed for small areas of the face, neck and body. Developed by InMode, AccuTite is the smallest radiofrequency contraction device on the market. This makes it ideal for contouring in delicate areas.

AccuTite is so precise that it can smooth and tighten the upper and lower eyelids. While it does not have exactly the same effect, some people refer to AccuTite as a “nonsurgical blepharoplasty”. Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the upper and lower eyelids. AccuTite offers a nonsurgical alternative to traditional blepharoplasty with less downtime and scarring.

AccuTite can also be used to tighten and contour other areas of the face, including the jowls and nasolabial folds, and the neck.

How Does AccuTite Work?

AccuTite uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to achieve targeted skin tightening, tissue remodelling and fat reduction. The device features two electrodes: one that is inserted beneath the skin via a small cannula and another that glides along the surface. When activated, the AccuTite handpiece sends a controlled flow of RF energy between the two electrodes.

As the RF energy flows through the dermal and subdermal layers of your skin, it heats the tissue to a specific temperature range. This thermal effect triggers an immediate contraction of the existing collagen fibres to produce a visible skin tightening effect. Additionally, the heat stimulates your body's natural healing response to increase production of collagen and elastin over the following weeks and months.

When targeting fat, AccuTite heats the fat cells until they are damaged and can be naturally flushed from your body.

The OLA Experience

Consultation

You will have an initial consultation to determine if AccuTite is suitable for you and answer any questions you may have. During this in-depth conversation, your doctor will formulate a plan for the depth, duration and intensity of the RF energy delivery so the treatment is customised to your needs.

Preparation

Beginning one week before your appointment, discontinue topical retinoids, avoid prolonged sun exposure and stop taking anticoagulants (if medically permissible). Avoid skin irritants for several days before treatment. Inform your provider if you have a history of cold sores, as you may need an antiviral prescription.

Treatment

The AccuTite procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. Once the area is numb, your doctor will make a small incision to insert the cannula. The device will then be activated, delivering RF energy while your doctor maneuvers it to cover the treatment area fully and evenly. The treatment typically takes 20-60 minutes.

AccuTite represents a significant advance in nonsurgical facial tightening. It offers a compelling alternative to surgery for those with mild to moderate skin laxity who aren't ready for a more extensive procedure. AccuTite allows us to achieve noticeable skin contraction and contour refinement with less scarring, shorter recovery times and fewer risks than a facelift.

What Is the Average Downtime and Recovery?

Treatment with AccuTite requires relatively little downtime, with most patients returning to regular activities in three to seven days. Side effects may include swelling, soreness, bruising, redness and numbness around the treated areas. These symptoms typically improve significantly within the first week.

Depending on where the treatment was performed, you may be instructed to wear a compression garment to minimise swelling during the first week or two of recovery. The small incisions will heal without the need for stitches. Avoiding direct sun exposure and using a broad-spectrum sunscreen while your incisions heal is recommended.

What Results Can I Expect From My AccuTite Treatment?

The initial results of your AccuTite treatment may be visible after one to two weeks. You can expect gradual improvements in skin laxity, texture and contour over the course of several months as your body continues to produce new collagen and flush out treated fat cells. The full effects of your treatment will be apparent after three to six months.

One of the key advantages of AccuTite is its ability to treat both the superficial skin and the underlying tissue in a single procedure. By stimulating collagen remodelling at multiple levels, AccuTite can achieve more comprehensive and longer-lasting results than treatments focused solely on the skin's surface. Results can last anywhere between 12 months and five years with proper skincare and a healthy lifestyle.
