Eyelid Treatments

Upper and Lower Eyelid Rejuvenation in Perth

The periorbital region includes our upper and lower eyelids, under-eyes and brows. As we age, many of us notice skin laxity, volume loss, fine lines, fat accumulation and alterations in skin texture and tone in these areas.

These changes are the result of many different factors. Our periorbital skin is particularly thin and contains less collagen and elastin than other areas of our face. It is also exposed to the sun often and subjected to frequent movement from our facial expressions.

At OLA Aesthetics in West Perth, we offer a range of minimally invasive and nonsurgical treatments to address periorbital concerns.

A Note From Dr Aleks

Cosmetic enhancement in the periorbital area requires a nuanced approach. Not only is the anatomy complex and delicate, there are also variations unique to each individual. What works beautifully for one person may not be ideal for another. That is why we offer so many different treatment options at OLA Aesthetics, and why we always start by developing a highly personalised treatment plan.

When we treat the eye area, we are careful to act with precision and restraint. We want to refresh and enhance while maintaining your natural movement and expression. We assess everything from your skin quality, to the underlying structures, to your overall facial balance before recommending any treatment.

Treatments to Address Upper or Lower Eyelid Laxity

Skin Tightening With AccuTite

AccuTite is our most precise radiofrequency treatment from InMode. This minimally invasive procedure uses controlled internal RF energy to tighten loose skin around the eyes and can address concerns like mild hooding of the upper eyelids or laxity in the lower eyelid area.

The device works by delivering RF energy between two specialised electrodes — one placed beneath the skin and one that moves along the surface — to promote collagen production and skin contraction. Full results develop within three to six months.

Brow Lift With AccuTite

AccuTite can be used to create a subtle lifting effect in the brow area. By carefully applying RF energy to specific points along the brows, we can elevate the tissues and open up the eye area. This approach is suitable for clients experiencing mild to moderate brow descent who are not interested in or not candidates for surgery.

Treatment with AccuTite requires relatively little downtime. Most clients comfortably return to their regular activities in three to seven days. Results can last 12 months and longer with proper skincare and a healthy lifestyle.

Skin Tightening With Morpheus8

Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to remodel and tighten skin. The adjustable needle depth allows us to target different layers of tissue while protecting the sensitive eye area. We can use this treatment to address concerns such as crepey eyelid skin, mild hooding of the upper eyelids and fine lines around the eyes.

Most patients benefit from a series of one to three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Results develop gradually over several months as your skin produces new collagen, with improvements continuing for up to twelve months after your final Morpheus8 treatment.

Thread Brow Lift

A thread lift uses special dissolvable sutures to suspend the tissues of the forehead. During this minimally invasive procedure, the doctor places the threads under the skin using a cannula and anchors them in place. The threads provide immediate support and, over time, can stimulate collagen production.

The results of a thread lift may last up to two years. The initial lifting effect begins to decrease around six to 12 months after the procedure, as the sutures dissolve. The secondary effects of collagen stimulation can extend for a year or more after the procedure.

Excess Skin Management

For some clients, skin laxity in the periorbital area may extend beyond what can be addressed with nonsurgical treatments alone. During your consultation, our doctors will thoroughly assess your concerns and provide honest guidance about which treatments are most likely to be appropriate solutions for your needs.

Treatments to Address Dark Circles Under the Eyes

Rejuran

Rejuran is a skin repair treatment that uses polynucleotide (PN) technology to improve skin quality, texture and hydration. The treatment also has antioxidant effects, which can help strengthen the skin’s natural barrier against damage from sun exposure and other detrimental forces.

Most patients benefit from a series of three treatments to achieve full results. Improvements develop gradually as the skin's natural regenerative processes are activated and can last up to one year.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

PRP harnesses the body’s natural healing capabilities to improve skin quality and texture in the under-eye area. During the treatment, a small amount of your blood is processed to concentrate its platelets, which contain growth factors. The concentrated PRP is then applied under your eyes to stimulate collagen production, enhance blood flow and support tissue repair.

We typically recommend starting with a series of three to six PRP treatments scheduled four to six weeks apart. After this initial protocol is complete, you may return for maintenance treatments every six to 12 months to preserve your results.

Volume and Wrinkle Treatments

The under-eye area can be affected by both volume changes and dynamic movement. At OLA Aesthetics, we offer treatments that can help address these concerns without surgery. Our philosophy is that improvements should complement your natural features while preserving normal expression and movement in this important area. A consultation is required to discuss which approaches may suit you.
