What Is MiniFX?
MiniFX is a noninvasive body contouring device for targeted fat reduction and skin tightening in smaller areas such as the chin, neck, knees and arms. It combines radiofrequency (RF) energy with suction-coupled pressure and deep tissue heating to eliminate fat cells and stimulate collagen production, improving the appearance of cellulite, skin laxity and unwanted bulges.
How Does It Work?
MiniFX is equipped with a handpiece that delivers RF energy into the skin. Inside the device is a vacuum chamber that pulls the skin into it, allowing for uniform heating that contracts the tissues and promotes collagen production to smooth and firm treated areas. It also utilises negative pressure to attach the skin to the RF electrodes for an even application of energy in the dermal and subdermal layers, ensuring results that are both consistent and reliable.

Before undergoing treatment, you’ll meet with Dr Aleks or Dr Indi to determine if MiniFX is right for you. During your private consultation, your doctor will assess your goals, walk you through the treatment process and answer any questions or concerns you may have. Then, a personalised treatment plan will be developed based on your needs and body type.
Preparation
Your doctor will provide you with guidelines to help you prepare for your MiniFX treatment. This may include avoiding harsh exfoliants or chemicals for at least one week prior to your appointment. Be sure to follow these guidelines closely for a safe and effective treatment.
Treatment
Your treatment will be performed in-office at our location in West Perth. During your appointment, the MiniFX handpiece will be applied to the skin and begin applying RF energy to heat up the deeper tissues. You’ll notice warmth in treated areas, but it is generally considered comfortable. The device will also draw the skin into it using mild suction, which may cause a pulling sensation. From start to finish, your procedure may take 30 minutes to an hour to complete, but this could vary depending on the size and scope of the areas being treated.
What Is the Average Downtime and Recovery?
MiniFX uses noninvasive RF energy to penetrate the skin without causing damage and requires zero downtime. You can expect to resume all normal activities immediately after your treatment with no activity restrictions. Treated areas may look red or feel warm to the touch, but these symptoms are typically considered mild and subside on their own within a few hours.
