Vaginal Skin Tag Removal

Skin tags are small, benign growths that can appear anywhere on the body, including around the vagina. Vaginal skin tags often appear on the inner or outer vaginal lips, on the inner thighs or around the anus. While benign, they can cause discomfort and concerns about appearance. Skin tags may sometimes be mistaken for genital warts, so a proper diagnosis is important before treatment.

What to Expect

Depending on the size, location and other factors, skin tags can be removed through freezing, burning or excision. Procedures are performed with local anaesthesia to minimise discomfort. We will walk you through your treatment beforehand so you know what to expect and can be as comfortable as possible during the process.

After the Treatment

After the procedure, we will provide you with instructions to help you care for the site. Freezing or cauterisation may come with a shorter healing time, while excision may require a longer recovery. During your consultation, we can discuss recovery and how long you will need to wait before resuming normal activities and sexual intercourse.
