Fullness, shape and a natural edge - designed around your face.
A beard should look like it grew there. At OLA Hair, our registered doctors use follicular unit extraction (FUE) to add density, fill patchy areas and shape a beard line that suits your face, placing each follicle to match the angle and direction of natural growth. Every treatment is planned privately in our West Perth clinic, with the same integrity and discretion that guides everything we do.
A Note from Dr Indi
A beard is part of how you present yourself to the world, and when growth is patchy or sparse it can quietly chip away at your confidence. That's something I take seriously with every man who comes to see us.
You'll always be met with honesty first. We sit down together, talk openly about what you'd like to change, and you'll be told plainly whether a beard transplant is the right choice for you, and if it isn't, I'll tell you that too. The craft here is in the detail: matching the angle, direction and density of your natural growth so the result looks like it was always yours, never planted.
More than anything, I want you to feel the same comfort and trust that OLA was built on. I look forward to welcoming you.

Your beard transplant, step by step
From your first conversation to your final result, every stage is handled by our medical team with care, clarity and discretion.
Consultation & assessment
Your journey begins with a private consultation with an OLA doctor. We look at your existing facial hair, growth pattern, skin and scalp donor area, and talk through the shape and density you're after — and what's realistic for you. Anything that could affect your result is identified early.
A design shaped to your face
Together we map your beard line, the areas to fill and the density to build, matched to your features and the natural direction of facial-hair growth. The design is yours; our role is to make it look like it was always there.
The procedure
On the day, the area is comfortably numbed with local anaesthetic. Individual follicles are extracted from your donor area using FUE and placed into the beard region with precise control over angle, depth and direction, with finer grafts set along the edges for a soft border.
Recovery & aftercare
You'll leave with clear, tailored aftercare guidance. Tiny crusts form around each graft and settle within about 7–10 days, and mild redness is normal early on. Transplanted hairs shed before regrowing an expected part of the process, and we stay in contact through your follow-ups as growth develop

Is a beard transplant right for you?
A beard transplant suits men in good general health who have a sufficient scalp donor area and clear, realistic expectations. It can be an option for naturally patchy or sparse growth, gaps that won't fill in, a thin moustache or jawline, or coverage over scarring.
Suitability is a medical decision, not a checkbox. During your consultation, an OLA doctor assesses your donor supply, skin health, facial-hair characteristics and any tendency toward raised scarring, then advises whether a transplant is the right path for you. If it isn't, we'll tell you.
Not sure where you sit? A consultation is the clearest first step.
Results, and the timeline behind them
Transplanted beard hair sheds within the first few weeks, expected, and not a setback. New growth typically begins from around 3–4 months, with results maturing over roughly 6 to 12 months as the follicles settle and thicken. Once established, your new beard can be grown, trimmed and styled like the rest of your facial hair.
Individual results vary. Your doctor will discuss what you can reasonably expect based on your own hair and goals during your consultation.
Care that's medical first, and personal throughout
OLA Aesthetics is a doctor-led clinic in a heritage building in West Perth, home to experienced registered practitioners and a small, deliberately curated team. Hair restoration sits within a wider philosophy of skin and appearance medicine, which means your treatment is considered in the context of your whole picture — not sold as a one-size procedure.
Integrity and discretion guide every consultation. We prioritise honest, transparent conversation over pressure, and we'll only recommend a transplant when it's genuinely the right option for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
A beard transplant redistributes your own hair follicles to add density and shape to your facial hair. At OLA Hair it's performed using follicular unit extraction (FUE), with each follicle placed to match the natural angle and direction of beard growth.
Donor follicles are usually taken from the back and sides of the scalp, where hair tends to keep growing long term. Your doctor confirms the best donor plan for you at consultation.
Filling gaps and evening out patchy growth is one of the most common reasons men have the procedure. Grafts are placed to blend new growth into your existing beard for consistent coverage.
That's the entire aim. A natural result comes from matching the angle and direction of each graft to how beard hair grows across your face, and using finer single-hair grafts along the edges so the border looks soft rather than drawn.
The area is numbed with local anaesthetic, so discomfort during the procedure is generally well managed. Some tenderness, redness and tiny crusts in the first week are normal and settle with the aftercare guidance you'll be given.
Once the area has healed, you can shave, trim and style your beard as normal — your doctor will tell you exactly when, based on your healing. In the early days, the grafts need to be left undisturbed.
Transplanted hair sheds in the first few weeks, then new growth usually begins from around 3–4 months. Most men see results develop over roughly 6 to 12 months as the follicles mature. Individual timelines vary.
The transplanted follicles are typically taken from areas resistant to hair loss, so they generally continue to grow long term once established. Your doctor will discuss what you can expect for your own hair.
Often, yes. Reintroducing growth over scarred areas — from acne, surgery or injury — is possible where the skin and scar are suitable, which your doctor assesses at consultation.
It can be. Building or increasing facial-hair density is something we can discuss on an individual basis, with the same careful, private assessment we give every patient.
Cost depends on the number of grafts your plan requires, so it's confirmed after your consultation rather than quoted as a flat figure. We'll give you a clear, itemised breakdown for your specific treatment before you decide anything.
Every OLA Hair Restore procedure is performed by a doctor, a trained hair technician, and a team of nurses working together as we believe that's how it should be done, properly.
