After completing a CIBTAC + CIDESCO Beauty Therapy diploma in Ireland and practising holistic massage as well as body treatments with AVEDA, Dee moved to Sydney, Australia in 2016 and gained valuable knowledge and experience working in various skin clinics.
This helped her develop a passion for skin health and a unique approach that combines holistic and advanced technologies. Her Spa and Dermal background has taught her to approach clients with a natural and calming demeanour.
She believes in creating tailored treatment plans and offering home care advice to address specific concerns. “It is crucial to educate clients about using the right ingredients for their skin type and targeting any issues they may have.”
With a passion for health and fitness, this ties in nicely with her professional philosophy.
A Family Legacy
As a young girl in Poland, little Aleks never imagined that a simple declaration from her grandfather — "You will be a doctor" — would set her on a journey across countries and continents.

But as she grew, so too did her fascination with medicine.
"I was always interested in biology and chemistry," Dr Aleks says. "I grew up watching ER and Grey's Anatomy, and I would see my stepdad, who is also a doctor, working. It felt very natural to pursue something I was passionate about and would make my family proud."
It wasn't just the men in Dr Aleks' family who shaped her path. The name OLA Aesthetics is a tribute to her grandmother, who called her "Ola," a nickname for Aleksandra. The two shared a profound bond.
"I admired her because she was a strong and independent woman. Her husband worked away in Morocco, and she would go out, have friends, socialise. She was ahead of the times," Dr Aleks explains.
Dr Aleks' grandmother imparted valuable life lessons, encouraging her granddaughter to live fully and chart her own course. It's this same spirit — a spirit of resilience and open-heartedness — that Dr Aleks brings to her practice today.
In His Family’s Footsteps

At age seven, young Indi would sit in his father's medical clinic in Sri Lanka, wide-eyed and curious, watching as patients came and went. Little did he know that those childhood moments would plant the seeds for a career spanning continents, a war zone, and eventually, the cutting edge of cosmetic medicine.
"I come from a very medical family,” Dr Indi says. “My grandparents, my parents… all are doctors. It felt like the natural thing for me to do."
Despite this strong family legacy, he briefly considered bucking tradition to become a pilot. But the pull of medicine proved too strong to ignore. The passion he saw in his family members and the profound impact they had on people's lives resonated deeply with him. "I was always destined for medicine in the end," he says.
Still, he found ways to carve his own path. While his family members worked in general practice and pediatrics, Dr Indi gravitated to other areas of medicine. He joined the Sri Lankan Army and served in the maxillofacial surgical unit, performing facial reconstructive work on soldiers injured in the Sri Lankan Civil War.
The conflict escalated rapidly. Violence encroached closer and closer to Dr Indi’s life, until one day, it arrived at his doorstep. “Aircraft tried to bomb the army hospital,” he recalls solemnly. “At that point, I knew I had to leave.”
Ask Dr Aleks
Did you always plan to go into aesthetics?
I considered ophthalmology because I think eyes are beautiful and fascinating. I also considered plastic surgery. In the end, I found that skin and skin procedures are what interest me most. Dermatology allowed me to focus on skin health and skin cancer, but also combine that with cosmetics. It lets me do a bit of everything.
The Journey From Poland to Perth
Dr Aleks relocated from Poland to Germany to earn her medical degree at the University of Ulm, where a keen interest in skin led her to study dermatology.
Her training at Klinikum Bielefeld, under some of Germany's leading dermatologists, was rigorous and hands-on. "In medical school in Germany, especially in the last two years, you're so practical. You actually perform procedures. I benefited greatly from that experience when I moved away, because I had skills that my peers hadn't learned yet," she says.
Dr Aleks' training eventually took her from Germany to Australia. She immediately fell in love with the landscapes and laid-back lifestyle.
But the move wasn't without its challenges. As an international medical graduate, she could not simply start practising in Australia. She opted to restart her studies in general practice with a focus on skin health and skin cancer, becoming a dermatology-focused GP. She capped off her Australian training with additional qualifications in skin cancer and cosmetic medicine.
"General practitioners have to know things about gyne, about nerves, about skin, about surgery," Dr Aleks says. "Now I have specialised knowledge from my training in Germany, plus the broad knowledge I gained from my training in Australia. It allows me to have a uniquely holistic approach."
Ask Dr Aleks
What made you fall in love with Australia?
When I came as a medical student to Australia to do some rotations, I immediately fell in love with the easygoing lifestyle. On weekends you go to the beach, which I never grew up near, and have a barbecue. Everyone is so friendly, and even though you do a stressful job, you have balance in your life. I love that about Australia.
Ask Dr Indi
Did you always plan to go into cosmetic medicine?
I always knew that once I completed my general practice training, I wanted to get into the aesthetic side of things. I love seeing happiness and confidence in my patients. It’s a gift to be able to help people feel good.
A Doctor Without Borders
In 2009, Dr Indi moved to Australia. The transition marked both a geographical shift and a new phase in his medical career. Though his experiences in the Sri Lankan Army were vastly different from his work today, they laid a foundation that continues to influence his practice.
"Being in the army honed my discipline and meticulousness, which are important in all kinds of medicine,” he says. “It also taught me the importance of having a routine and understanding why you’re doing what you’re doing… being obsessive, in a good way.” These qualities — precision, attention to detail and a methodical approach — are invaluable in his current role as co-founder of OLA Aesthetics.
Dr Indi's journey in Australia was not a straight path to aesthetics. His diverse interests and training led him to split his time between cosmetic medicine and rural general practice. To this day, he maintains this balance, spending several days each week in the town of Leonora.
"I fly out on Tuesday and fly back home on Friday. Monday is my cosmetic day at OLA," he explains. This unique arrangement allows him to bring specialised care to a community that might otherwise go without.
"I do a lot of skin work there. Flaps, grafts, those sorts of things,” he explains. “It’s good for me to maintain a wide variety of skills, and I enjoy being able to help people who might otherwise struggle to get access to the healthcare they need.”
Ask Dr Indi
What made you fall in love with Australia?
It’s so sunny and nice, and the lifestyle really appealed to me. I love the beach. I love the outdoors. I thought, why would I want to be in a cold, grim country when I could live here? I made the right choice!
A Passion and a Partnership
Dr Aleks will never forget the day she drove her mother across the border from Poland to the Czech Republic for a wrinkle treatment. At 18, she couldn't understand why anyone would care about ageing.

"I said, what do you need that for? That's silly," she says. "I didn't get it. But then I saw what it did for how she felt. I saw her confidence levels soar. The older I get, the more I understand where she was coming from, and I would like to give that experience to others."
A seed was planted. It would eventually blossom into a career in cosmetic medicine and the founding of OLA Aesthetics.
In her personal life, a seed of another kind was taking root. During a hospital rotation in Germany, she met Dr Indi. "He was my surgical registrar. I was nervous because surgery in Germany is strict, but he came along and was very kind. He put my mind at ease," she says.
Both moved on in their careers and lost contact. Years later, fate brought them back together at a mutual friend's birthday party. This time, romance blossomed.
"I remember the first few days. We just talked and talked and talked," she recalls warmly. "He's never left my side since."
Partners in Life and Business

The most significant turning points in life often come when we least expect them. For Dr Indi, one such moment came at a party, where he reconnected with a former colleague.
"When I was a surgical registrar, Aleks was my resident," he recounts. "Several years ago, we remet at a mutual friend’s birthday. We talked about cosmetics, and I asked if she could train me. Instead, we started dating."
This chance encounter blossomed into a marriage and a family of four, as well as the professional partnership behind OLA Aesthetics.
Launching the clinic was a leap into the unknown for both doctors. "It was a totally new type of venture for us," Dr Indi says. Despite having "flirted with startups" in Sri Lanka, running a business was uncharted territory. But their combined medical expertise and shared vision gave them the confidence to move forward.
That vision was clear from the start: to create a clinic that prioritises patient needs over wants, honesty over sales, and personalised care over cookie-cutter treatments. When asked to describe OLA Aesthetics in a few words, Dr Indi doesn't hesitate: "Professionalism, compassion, meticulousness and attention to detail, all within a very friendly environment."
It's this unique combination of medical expertise, honest guidance and a welcoming atmosphere that built OLA into one of Perth’s leading clinics for aesthetics and skin health.
Ask Dr Indi
In your opinion, what makes Aleks an exceptional doctor?
She's super detail-oriented and genuinely cares about her patients. I've seen her spending her Sundays after the kids are settled, doing deep dives into research, fine-tuning procedures and treatments – it's a level of dedication that goes above and beyond.
When you're in a consultation with her, it's like this wave of calm washes over you. She's always upfront and honest, steering patients away from unnecessary expenses or treatments that might not be the best fit. It's her personal touch and proactive attitude that make her stand out.
The Birth of OLA Aesthetics
As Dr Aleks gained experience in both general practice and cosmetic medicine, she felt a growing desire to create something uniquely her own.
"I would go to other clinics two days a week to do cosmetics, and the rest of the week, I would be in my GP clinic," she says. "The more I was somewhere else, the more I wanted to build something for myself. It's the natural next step when you love something."
"I would go to other clinics two days a week to do cosmetics, and the rest of the week, I would be in my GP clinic," she says. "The more I was somewhere else, the more I wanted to build something for myself. It's the natural next step when you love something."
That's not to say it wasn't daunting. She had much to learn about running a business, but with Dr Indi as her co-founder and her grandmother's encouragement to live boldly in her mind, Dr Aleks set out to create OLA Aesthetics.
Today, she describes it as "a clinic for everyone". At OLA Aesthetics, patients know they are in safe hands and receiving a bespoke and professional service.
"We're not into cookie cutter," she says. "We want to sit down and understand your anatomy and your concerns, and then create your treatment plan. We take that time because we truly care about delivering the experience you want."
Even the clinic's design reflects her patient-first philosophy. "Some places are very exclusive. They feel cold and unapproachable," she explains. "Our interior design is beautiful, but it's inviting. The last thing I want my patients to feel is intimidated."

Ask Dr Aleks
What is a procedure you love doing?
I am very passionate about thread lifts. I have had them myself, and I have done them for patients ranging from 30 years old to 79 years old. There are a lot of myths about thread lifts that simply aren't true; they just have to be done the right way.
I've tried all the different thread brands available in Australia. I've invested a lot of time into learning what they can and can't do and mastering advanced techniques. I love how versatile they are.
Ask Dr Aleks
In your opinion, what makes Dr Indi an exceptional doctor?
First and foremost, it’s his expertise and his professionalism. He always plans ahead. If something unexpected happens, he keeps a cool head and handles it with grace.
He listens intently to his patients. He’s very thorough and attentive. He makes sure he really hears people and understands what they’re after. His patients appreciate and love that about him, and it really makes him stand out.
The Power of Connection
In those early days, watching his father work, Dr Indi’s compassion, curiosity and deep desire to help others were already taking root. Today, these qualities underpin his approach to aesthetic medicine.
Whether he's treating a farmer in Leonora or a cosmetic client at OLA Aesthetics, his goal remains the same: to provide thoughtful, personalised care grounded in genuine human connection. He believes this process begins long before any procedure takes place. It starts at the hello.
"Very often, in the first two minutes, I barely talk,” he says. “I greet you and ask why you’re here, then I just keep quiet. I focus on listening to who you are and what you really want.”
It may seem like a small gesture, but in a world where medical appointments feel increasingly rushed and impersonal, this attentiveness is a breath of fresh air.
Honesty is another core value at OLA Aesthetics. Dr Indi is not afraid to steer patients away from treatments that may not be appropriate for them. He believes in addressing needs rather than just wants, and always keeps the patient's best interests at heart.
“We will not do a cookie-cutter treatment or a treatment that is not right for a particular patient. We are here to help, not cause harm," he states firmly.

Ask Dr Indi
Are there any treatments or technologies that are especially exciting to you right now?
I think the bioremodellers are going to be very interesting. I also like thread lifts and our InMode device with treatments like AccuTite and FaceTite. It's a good middle ground for the patient who wants facial rejuvenation but isn’t ready for surgery yet. It also has options for body contouring and tightening. I'm excited by the versatility of that device every day.
A Personal Touch in Patient Care
For Dr Aleks, beauty isn't about achieving perfect symmetry or following trends. "The main thing is the way you feel about yourself," she says. "Perhaps it's cliché, but beauty really is how you feel from the inside."

Guided by this belief, her goal is to enhance — rather than erase — her patients' unique features. Her treatment philosophy favours subtle, natural results that preserve each person's individuality. "All patients have something beautiful to highlight," she emphasises.
Building trust is one of her most important values. Dr Aleks invests time in nurturing relationships, knowing that a strong rapport leads to better outcomes. "If you're reserved, I'll show you I'm listening. If you're anxious, I'll try to loosen the mood. I want you to feel comfortable," she explains.
This dedication has fostered a loyal following. Dr Indi notes: "People love her so much that they'll go out of their way to follow her to different clinics, no matter the distance they need to travel."
Dr Aleks' combined passion and expertise have made her a leading figure in cosmetic medicine in Perth and established OLA Aesthetics a trusted destination for those seeking exceptional care and results.
The Art of Inclusive Aesthetics

Dr Indi's varied background in reconstructive work, cosmetic medicine and general practice has given him a nuanced understanding of what it means to look and feel good.
"When I'm 43, I should look like a good 43," he says, "not like I'm trying to be 20."
He extends this philosophy to his patients. He favours subtlety and natural enhancement over frozen foreheads and overfilled lips. In the most personal way possible, he understands the positive impact this approach can have.
“When I started getting cosmetic treatments, all my relatives commented on how good I looked, but no one knew why," he recalls with amusement. "That feeling – I understand why my patients want it."
His own experiences receiving cosmetic treatments have helped him cultivate a dedicated male clientele. For male patients, he focuses on accentuating traditionally masculine features, such as a strong jawline, with an impactful but undetectable touch. “People should look at you and think ‘He looks quite good for his age', but they won’t know that you've done something."
For clients of any gender, Dr Indi believes outer beauty mirrors inner beauty. "We start with your skin," he says. "It's the biggest organ of the body, and it reflects your inner health. If we get that right, everything else tends to fall into place."
Ask Dr Aleks
Are there any new technologies that are exciting to you right now?
I love our InMode device. Using heat, we can tighten and lift the skin when, previously, surgery was the only way to do that. I'm very passionate about this technology, and as far as I'm concerned, there is nothing else like it at this point in time.
The Woman Behind the White Coat
Despite the demands of running a growing practice, Dr Aleks makes sure to carve out quality time for her family. "Indi and I have two kids and we love them dearly," she shares.
She spends her free time making the most of the scenery and climate that drew her to Australia more than a decade ago. She enjoys starting her day with a run or a walk, and unwinds by taking a surfboard to the beach. She also enjoys camping and other outdoor pursuits that keep her connected to nature.
But it's not all about high-energy activities. "I also just like watching a series on Netflix with Indi and having a nice glass of wine," she says. "I'm usually asleep by the first episode, but we still enjoy it!"
Looking to the future, Dr Aleks is brimming with excitement. The clinic is growing, bringing on new staff members and treatments that will expand its services. "My grandmother always encouraged me to embrace new challenges," she reflects. "I think she'd be proud to see how we're expanding and evolving.'"
To those considering a visit to OLA Aesthetics, Dr Aleks has a simple message: "Come and visit us! We have so much to offer and I can't wait to share it with you."

Ask Dr Indi
What is the most rewarding part of what you do?
The daily human interaction. I love getting people healthier and helping them to be more happy, relaxed and confident.
Beyond the Clinic Walls
The pursuit of health and balance is a lifestyle for Dr Indi. When he's not seeing patients, he relishes his time at home with family. His weekends are a cherished respite from the demands of his dual medical roles.
"I love being with our kids on weekends," he shares. "We're often out going for a swim, or you'll find us at the bottom of the garden where we grow vegetables together."
The garden is a work in progress, but already it yields a useful harvest. "All our salad leaves and tomatoes come from it," he notes proudly.
Dr Indi's skills also shine in the kitchen. His signature dish, Sri Lankan Jaggery Beef Curry, is such a hit amongst family and friends that it earned a mention in an acquaintance’s cookbook.
Through gardening and cooking, Dr Indi has discovered more ways to connect to and care for the people around him, and to keep touch with his Sri Lankan roots while embracing the Australian lifestyle he's come to love.

Ask Dr Indi
What do you hope is in the future for OLA Aesthetics?
I’m excited to see the business grow and serve more people. We’re busy, but it’s the good kind of busy. I'd like to open another clinic someday, perhaps overseas. I'd love to have our own skin brand eventually. That’s thinking far ahead, but you have to dream!
Ask Dr Aleks
What is one of your most memorable patient stories?
I saw a woman who'd had a big cancer surgery on her face. The surgeon had to remove part of a bone and her lip tissue, and had to restore her nose after. She survived the illness and she was getting married, and she was self-conscious about not having a lip.
Her plastic surgeon referred her to me. We did some treatments to restore a little bit of the lip tissue she had lost. She had a smile on her face and tears in her eyes at the result. That made me really happy, because she was so happy.
